BINEDIT 2.0+ ILLUSTRATED
Mapping 101

| Mapping is simply having BinEdit assign a face or a group of faces to use a specific area of a texture. |
| The first thing you need to do is
open your model, then by presssing the Space Bar you can cycle through
all the faces. The current face will be displayed in BinEdit with a translucent
pink overlay and the face number will be shown in the lower right of the
task bar. If the colors of your model make it difficult to see which face
is highlighted then toggle on the flat shading |
| Once you're on the face you want to map, press the F key to tag the face. Tagged faces will be visible in BinEdit by a translucent green overlay (after you flip to the next face). |
| Once you have the face or group of
faces tagged for mapping open the Bin Mapper by going to the Groups menu
and selecting Map Face Group to Texture, by pressing the Bin Mapper button
